Reflect • Grow • Strengthen Your Clinical Voice
Support that feels guided, grounded and practical

Licensure supervision is required, but it can also be a meaningful space to build confidence, ask honest questions, and grow into the clinician you are becoming.

Meet Your Supervisor

Amanda Baird, LCSW, RPT, QS, is a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns in Florida.

Qualified supervision is required for LCSW licensure, but it is also much more than checking off hours. It is a space to ask questions, build confidence, explore clinical decision-making, strengthen your therapeutic voice, and grow into the clinician you are becoming.

A nurturing clinical space

As a supervisor, Amanda brings years of clinical experience along with a nurturing, grounded approach. Her goal is to help Registered Interns deepen their understanding of their work, gain new perspectives, and develop a strong foundation for future independent practice.

Licensure Supervision

For Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns pursuing LCSW licensure in Florida.

Supervision with Amanda is designed to be supportive, reflective, and practical. Together, we explore case conceptualization, documentation, ethics, boundaries, therapeutic relationships, clinical confidence, and the real-life “wait, how do I handle this?” moments that every developing therapist experiences.

Group Consultation

Group Consultation is offered both alongside individual supervision and as a separate professional support service. This is a space for clinicians to collaborate, reflect, and learn from one another.

Clinicians can discuss clinical questions, exchange ideas, explore ethical considerations, and gain diverse perspectives on client work.

Where I intern at we see something similar. Here's the workflow I find useful. Yes, in the State of Florida this is required.

Group Consultation also helps clinicians build community, expand their professional network, and identify additional resources for clients and families.

Florida Supervision Snapshot

FIVE PIECES TO TRACK DURING THE LICENSURE JOURNEY

Supervision Hours

Florida requires a minimum of 100 supervision hours completed over no less than 100 weeks. Translation: it's a marathon, not a sprint and you're not expected to run alone.

First
Face-to-Face Psychotherapy

Florida requires 1,500 hours of face-to-face psychotherapy with clients for Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns working toward LCSW licensure.

Second
Bi-weekly Meetings

Florida requires at least one hour of supervision every two weeks during the supervised experience period.

Third
Individual & Group Supervision

Florida rules allow group supervision, but group supervision must alternate with individual supervision. Florida defines individual supervision as one qualified supervisor with no more than two interns, and group supervision as more than two interns with a maximum of six interns in the group.

Fourth
Track Those Hours

Florida requires both the intern and supervisor to maintain up-to-date supervision records. In other words: your future licensed self will thank you for keeping the paperwork tidy.

Fifth

Complimentary Supervision Tracking Tool

To help Registered Interns stay organized, supervisees receive a complimentary Excel-based supervision tracking spreadsheet to document supervision hours, client contact hours, and progress toward licensure requirements.
